MODIFICATION OF BICEPS STRENGTHING IN TENNIS ELBOW

Tennis elbow is a disorder which would be found on lateral side of elbow joint due to parcial tearing of extensers muscles its create pain during extension.

There is a very simple rule relating to any pain occuring in the body related to muscular pain which states that if we are having pain while executing any action, then its better to leave that action and should concentrate on those exercises which may strengthen the muscles around the affected muscles. All the actions should be carried out in which we have no Pain.
Exercising in a pain free range of motion is always preferred to one in which we are experiencing a pain . For this reason if we go on exercising in painful areas then it might worsen the pain.
CLINICAL FEATURE-
  • Trigger point pain on lateral side of elbow joint
  • Pain during hammering
  • Pain on reverse curl

MEDICAL TREATMENT– Put a deep wet cotton on painful areas with voilni spary cover it with crape bandage/elbow cap and use tennis elbow band for 72 hour

EXERCISE MANAGEMENT-
  • Grip exercise
  • Moblisation of joint
  • Supinator exercise
  • Supinator biceps strengthing
  • Kneading on pain point

DIET MANAGEMENT-

  • D3 IN CALCIROL FORM
  • Reduce protein diet
  • Reduce ascorbic acid

PRECAUTION-

  • Do not do wrist extension weight bearing exercise.
  • Hammer curls should also be avoided.
  • Reverse curls should also be avoided if causing any pain.
